With being a sash weaver I get the oppurtunity to create meaningful colours designs etc in my sashes and this beatuiful green sash came from me wanting to honour my grandfather. I got to know and love my paternal birth grandfather. We had a special bond and I am blessed to have known him. He loved me as his own and I am forever grateful for all the times I got to spend with him. My maternal birth grandfather was killed when my birth mom was 2 yrs old but I honour him as well. Both grandfathers were proud Metis men.
